Founded in 2023 to restore travel to its original purpose: a path toward perspective, connection, and transformation!
In an industry where itineraries have replaced presence and performances have replaced authenticity, we design curated travel experiences that prioritize depth, cultural immersion, and real access. The kind of transformative travel that changes how you see the world and yourself.
The name reflects our philosophy: "No land" citizen. Identity without borders. The logo captures this belief. The "O" forms an orbit of continuous exploration, while the star represents true north, your inner compass guiding you toward what's real.
We curate both guided group experiences and independent solo journeys for travelers who seek substance over spectacle. Each immersive travel experience is built around authentic cultural engagement: learning from local chefs, riding with horsewomen descended from royal families, walking ancient trade routes with historians who know the untold stories.
We collaborate with hosts who live the cultures they share, not perform them. Our groups are intentionally intimate because transformation happens in conversation, trust, and presence, not crowds.
Solo travelers are central to our mission. Every itinerary is designed with meticulous planning, expert local guidance, and full on-ground support, allowing independent explorers to travel with confidence and flexibility.
Noland Citizen exists for one reason: to help travelers become citizens of everywhere they deeply engage, through curiosity, respect, and the courage to be changed by the world.

SARA FAROUK
If you’re drawn to travel with meaning, you’re exactly the kind of person this community is for. I believe the best experiences come from presence, cultural respect, and thoughtful design, not speed or spectacle. That belief shapes how I show up in this work.
I am Egyptian/Bahraini, and that shaped how I understand culture and belonging. It taught me to notice small details that matter, to respect values, and to pay attention to how people live, not just how places look. Over time I learned that the deepest experiences are not the loudest ones. They are the ones where you slow down enough to listen, and a place starts to feel less like a destination and more like a relationship.
For eighteen years, I worked in advertising and media, where everything can be polished until it looks perfect. But I also learned what gets lost when we polish too much. In my own life, I have always been drawn to travel that feels honest, often solo, because it sharpens presence and teaches self trust. Adventure is simply part of my nature. Horses have been part of my life since childhood, and music, time outdoors, exploring cultures, and animal welfare keep me grounded in care and responsibility. These are not themes I impose on journeys. They are values that shape how I host, how I communicate, and the standard of support I believe travelers deserve.
In 2023, Noland Citizen was founded to hold that standard in a real way, through thoughtful planning, on ground support, and experiences shaped with the right people in the right places.
