The Last Kingdom
Step into Bhutan, the world's last Himalayan kingdom. Ancient monasteries, sacred fortresses, and a way of life the modern world never reached.
The Last Kingdom is a solo journey through one of the most rare and extraordinary destinations on earth.
6 Days | 5 Nights
Paro | Thimphu | Punakha
Till December
2026
Arrive in Paro, one of the world's most dramatic landings, with mountain peaks flanking every side of the descent. From there, the journey unfolds across Thimphu, the world's only capital without a traffic light, where a giant Buddha watches over the entire valley in silence.
Move through Punakha, warm and lush at a lower altitude, where Bhutan's most magnificent fortress sits at the confluence of two sacred rivers. And return to Paro for the moment that defines this kingdom, the hike to Tiger's Nest Monastery, clinging impossibly to a granite cliff 900 metres above the valley.
Between it all: mountain passes with panoramic Himalayan views, sacred shrines, a family's kitchen, a village untouched by time, and a ritual bath that has been restoring travelers for centuries. A week that fills every sense, and leaves a mark.

The world’s most protected destination. No independent travel. No mass tourism. Getting here takes intention, and that intention shapes everything that follows.

Tiger’s Nest doesn’t reward the passive traveler. 7km. 518 metres of elevation. The hike is part of the experience, because arriving there any other way would miss the point entirely.

Tea with a family in Nobgang village. No agenda. No performance. Just the particular warmth of a home that has been open to guests the same way for generations.

A wooden tub. River stones heated until they split. Minerals that Bhutanese healers have trusted for centuries. Not a spa add-on, the oldest form of restoration in the kingdom.
