Mariam Sobhy, founder of Beit Mariam Egypt, is a renowned yoga and meditation teacher with over a decade of experience. She specializes in Ashtanga, Yin Yoga & Mindfulness meditation and has trained with esteemed teachers worldwide. Mariam’s journey into yoga began in 2010, leading her to study yoga philosophy at Oxford University. She combines her deep knowledge with mindfulness practices learned from Buddhist monks in Vietnam and Nepal.

She is the first Egyptian female chef and certified olive oil taster/sommelier. Alia’s farm-to-fork philosophy emphasizes creativity, culture, and ethical sourcing. She crafts Italian-Egyptian fusion recipes, organizes pop-up culinary events, and educates different stakeholders about the world of olive oil. With extensive experience in the food and beverage industry, she also offers consulting services.
