WHY VALLEY OF LIGHTS

NEPAL IN A DIFFERENT LIGHT

During Tihar, homes, temples and neighborhoods are transformed by oil lamps, marigold garlands, color and music. It is a rare opportunity to experience Nepal through the atmosphere of a living celebration, not only through its landmarks.

A WEEK SHAPED BY MANY MEANINGS

Tihar unfolds through distinct traditions honoring animals, welcoming Laxmi, celebrating the self and strengthening family bonds. Each ritual reveals how gratitude, belief and everyday life are closely connected in Nepal.

MORE THAN A FESTIVAL TO WATCH

Valley of Lights brings together cultural traditions, food, sacred heritage, craft and Nepal’s natural landscapes. The experience is designed to help guests understand how Tihar changes the rhythm, color and feeling of daily life.
